Teeth Whitening

Sometimes called teeth bleaching, whitening procedures are a safe and easy method to restore luster to a dull smile. Professional whitening methods are much more effective than over-the-counter varieties you can buy at the store. Our office uses the powerful Kor® Whitening Deep Bleaching system to achieve superior results and bright smiles.

KöR® Whitening can provide a dramatic difference in a short amount of time.

KöR® Whitening offers a full line of systems that offer longer lasting, superior whitening with less sensitivity. Using a proprietary Dual-Activated™, Tri-Barrel Hydremide® Peroxide formulation, combined with unique KöR-Seal™ trays, KöR Whitening can offer up to 6 or more hours of active whitening from a treatment, compared with the approximate 30 minutes of whitening provided by other traditional bleaching systems. KöR Whitening is also the first whitening company to keep their products continuous refrigerated from the moment of manufacture until they are delivered at your dental office, which reduces degradation of the product and improves overall effectiveness.

Veneers

Dental porcelain veneers are cosmetic dentistry options used to improve and maintain the appearance of your teeth.

What are dental veneers and what do they do?

  • They’re thin, custom-made shells bonded to the front of your tooth.
  • They’re used to cover chips, cracks, gaps, discoloration.
  • They’re appearance looks like your own natural tooth enamel and color.
  • They’re long lasting—typically at least 10 years and many times up to 20 years.
  • They’re cared for by avoiding these three things: chewing on hard objects, opening things with your teeth and grinding or clenching or your teeth.

Cosmetic Bonding

Dental composite bonding, or tooth bonding, is a cosmetic dental treatment that bonds a tooth-colored resin to your teeth. The result maintains your teeth’s appearance.

We do cosmetic bonding treatments to maintain the natural look of both your teeth and smile!

Cosmetic Bonding is Recommended to:

  • Fix minor tooth damage, including chips, cracks, gaps and even discoloration.
  • Change the shape and/or size of your teeth, when needed for your treatment.

Benefits of Cosmetic Bonding:

  • It’s a minimally invasive and cost-effective option as compared to crowns or veneers.
  • It's a longer-term solution, typically lasting 5–10 years, yet not as long as crowns and veneers.

Since the composite resin can stain like your natural teeth, it’s very important that you use consistent dental care to maintain their appearance.

Microabrasion

Microabrasion is a cosmetic dental treatment used to remove a thin layer of enamel to improve the appearance your teeth. We use this simple procedure to whiten your teeth when they become discolored due to poor dental care or from drinking coffee, tea and wine or other eating other foods that tend to stain your teeth.

Crowns

Dental crowns are tooth-shaped caps which are custom-fitted over a damaged or weakened tooth. They cover your full tooth and retore its shape, size, strength and appearance. We can also use crowns to cover dental implants and teeth that are treated with root canals.

A crown is often the best treatment solution for teeth with greater decay. It will preserve both the appearance and the function of your tooth.

Crowns are ideal to retain your tooth. It’s an ideal solution to maintain your bone structure as well as the health of the teeth next to the crown. To create your crown, we take impressions of your mouth to make a model, ensuring we capture the accurate shape of your tooth as well as your bite to maintain the natural function of your teeth. Typically, we place a temporary crown on your tooth until the final crown is created. With proper dental care, your crown can last your lifetime.

We offer four of the most common types of crowns:

  • CERAMIC: These crowns are commonly used for visible teeth so you can match your natural tooth color.
  • PORCELAIN FUSED TO METAL: These crowns are a great option because they are both strong and long-lasting. They can also match your tooth color.
  • GOLD ALLOYS: This crown option is ideal when you need more strength in the crown.
  • BASE METAL ALLOYS: These crowns are used when your tooth has minimal structure to support your new crown.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are a great option to replace missing teeth and avoid either an implant or denture. A bridge is a permanent tooth restoration. It replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth, which are attached to the teeth on either side of the missing tooth gap.

Are you missing more than one tooth?

According to the America Dental Association (ADA), on average American adults between the ages of 20 and 64 have three or more missing or decaying teeth. Dental bridges are one of the best solutions to correct this situation. Depending on your situation, one of the following bridges may be the best option for you.

Four main types of dental bridges:

  • TRADITIONAL DENTAL BRIDGE: A very common bridge, it consists of dental crowns (caps) on both ends with pontics (artificial teeth) in between. We bond the crown to your natural teeth on either side of the gap and the artificial teeth fill in the space in between.
  • CANTILEVER BRIDGE: We use a cantilever bridge if you only have natural teeth on one side of the gap. It’s similar to a traditional bridge, but there’s only a crown on one end, not both. So, the artificial tooth hangs over the gap.
  • IMPLANT SUPPORTED BRIDGE: An implant-supported bridge is similar to a traditional bridge, but it rather than resting on your natural teeth it rests atop implants. Implant-supported bridges are typically used if you are missing three or more teeth in a row. The whole process can take up to three to six months or more.
  • MARYLAND BRIDGE: The Maryland bridge is a resin-bonded bridge. It uses metal wings rather than crowns to secure the bridge in your mouth. We bond the wings to the backs of your adjacent teeth to hold your bridge in place. We typically use a Maryland bridge to replace missing front teeth, because they aren’t strong enough to handle the force of chewing with your back teeth.
